Young artists were rewarded with prizes for their talent at a community event. Organised by Southampton’s Pakistan Welfare Association, the event was a celebration for Pakistan Day. Held at Mount Pleasant School the children’s work was judged by artist Dave Hubble. with prizes handed out by Deputy Mayor of Southampton, Councillor Steven Barnes Andrews.
Organisers thanked sponsors of the event who included Sprinkles Gelato, Scoops Gelato, ST Mary’s Carpets and Beds, The Meat Bay and Madina Store. The children were ages between 5 and 13 and their work included poetry, art, drawing and short stories.
